SST Pro X Gen2

Worn inside the hat, providing protective coverage for the front, left, and right sides of a pitcher’s head; which are the most vulnerable areas to impact from a line drive comebacker.

Composite Technology

Handmade in USA from lightweight and ultra-strong Carbon Fiber and Kevlar for superior impact dispersion and deflection. Weighs approximately 2.3 ounces. We recognize that these guards are expensive, and for good reason: we use expensive materials for the highest possible level of protection. Cheaper alternatives and materials simply do not have the same performance qualities that SST provides.

Performance

Through impact testing, the Pro X Gen2 has shown to reduce impact force by up to 50%; significantly reducing the risk of skull fracture.

Fit

Boasts a low-profile design for comfort. Molded and shaped to fit naturally inside a player’s hat. Most players can use the SST inside their existing hat size. Our ergonomic design makes the guards nearly unnoticeable during use. Avoid feeling and looking goofy so you can play with confidence.

Description

SST Baseball is a designer and manufacturer of protective head gear for pitchers using state of the art lightweight composites. Pitchers are most exposed to head injuries on the same side of the head as their throwing arm due to mechanics, delivery momentum, and the natural reaction of the human body when facing a line drive from a batted ball. We are strongly against prototypical helmet use on the mound due to numerous physical and mental factors. That is why we created a low profile guard to help protect only the sides of the head that are most prone to severe injury. SST Baseball Head Protection for Pitchers weigh a little more than 1 ounce, compared to a standard baseball hat that can weigh 3 or more ounces. SST Guards are worn inside the hat, nearly unnoticeable in appearance and most importantly, comfortable. The SST Baseball Head Guard does not provide a guarantee for preventing concussions, no helmet or protective device can make that claim.

To find the correct SST Head Guard size for your player, simply measure the total length of the head, in inches, all the way around the skull. Then, divide that number by 3.14. That will give you your player’s fitted hat size. Once you have your player’s fitted hat size, refer to the following sizing chart:
