Handmade in USA from lightweight and ultra-strong Carbon Fiber and Kevlar for superior impact dispersion and deflection. Weighs approximately 2.3 ounces. We recognize that these guards are expensive, and for good reason: we use expensive materials for the highest possible level of protection. Cheaper alternatives and materials simply do not have the same performance qualities that SST provides.

Installation
Comes with two options to secure your guards inside the hat. The first is an iron-on Velcro kit that (takes approximately 5 minutes to install) and the second is the SST Carbon Fiber clip with logo (takes only a few seconds to install). Both options provide excellent hold and prevent movement.

Pitchers are most exposed to head injuries on the same side of the head as their throwing arm due to mechanics, delivery momentum, and the natural reaction of the human body when facing a line drive from a batted ball. We are strongly against prototypical helmet use on the mound due to numerous physical and mental factors. That is why we created a low profile guard to help protect only the sides of the head that are most prone to severe injury. SST Baseball Head Protection for Pitchers weigh a little more than 1 ounce, compared to a standard baseball hat that can weigh 3 or more ounces. SST Guards are worn inside the hat, nearly unnoticeable in appearance and most importantly, comfortable. The SST Baseball Head Guard does not provide a guarantee for preventing concussions, no helmet or protective device can make that claim.
To find the correct SST Head Guard size for your player, simply measure the total length of the head, in inches, all the way around the skull. Then, divide that number by 3.14. That will give you your player’s fitted hat size. Once you have your player’s fitted hat size, refer to the following sizing chart:
